By Neal Bedwell - 15/03/2010 I love these boots. They are lightweight, and comnfortable to wear, but with tough soles which give excellent grip on wet or slippery ground. I use them for backpacking. I used to use leather boots, but whenever I go back to my old leather pair now they feel heavy and sluggish by comparison. I would never go back to leather again after owning these. I can thoroughly recommend these boots. Just to be aware, I found that the sizes were slightly optimistic (I normally take a size 9, but found that size 10 was just right for me with these boots), so it may be worth looking at a 1/2 size, or even a full size larger than you think you need. I've used them all day digging roots out in hard ground and not a mark on the sole from the spade. they were 99% waterproof from the off and after 12 months of this treatment are only now looking a bit sorry.
