Merrell Chameleon Cargo

Is the Merrell Chameleon Cargo a shoe or a sandal? The Merrell Chameleon Cargo is infact a hybrid shoe, using elements of both to create a skeletal structure that can go the distance in warm weather and carry some load, whether as a sandal or, with back stay removed, as a slide.

For comfort and fit the Merrell Chameleon Cargo features fingers of nubuck whcih provide vital side support and anchor a cord-locked speed lacing system cushioned by padded mesh tongue. Meanwhile an In-Board™ footframe seats the foot low and Vibram® Chameleon Speed™ sole has the right mix of tread to pick up the pace.

If there is a more comfortable bit of footwear than these I would like to own them, these are brilliant, perfect fit, really like wearing slippers, great product on all types of ground. Great product from a good no nonsense company.

These sandals are very comfortable and do everything I want from them including protecting my toes and heels on rough ground. My only gripe is that I can only wear thin socks with them. My feet are not wide but my usual walking socks are a bit too thick for comfort.

Look really good and are very practical. I wanted a good wlaking shoe that you could also slip in and out of easily. However, initially I got blisters in the top inside of my heel area, where I have never had blisters before, so be prepared to suffer a little. But the removable heel strap is good and so maybe just needs a bit of adjusting.

Felt a full size smaller than marked

Very comfortable shoe, and the inbuilt orthotic works v well - I used wear Keens but v happy with these. Word of caution though. I normally take a 10.5 in shoe. I needed to go to size 12 on these. Fortunately I had the opportunity to check out sizing in a shop before I purchased, even the size 11 felt tight so if you have any doubts go a full size up on your normal measure.

I have had two pairs of these shoes, they are fantastic! for any activity I use them for cycling and just as an every day shoe for during sping/summer it keeps my feet fresh and confortable. Great Value for money. If you ware size 10 then go for 10.5... Armando, Fort William. Scotland
