Northampton families are being asked to take part in a mile-long sponsored walk to raise money for cot death research.
The walk will take place at 11:00 GMT on May 17th in Abington Park, reports the Northampton Chronicle.
Organiser Michelle Fisher, 35, who lost a baby to cot death 14 years ago, told the paper: "I had a breakdown afterwards but since then I have gone back to college and am just about to complete training as a counsellor."
Ms Fisher will complete the walk with her daughters, 15-year-old Joanne and four-year-old Billie-Mae.
She told the paper that cot death causes more babies deaths in the UK every year than road accidents, meningitis and leukaemia.
Funds raised by the event will be donated to the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID), which funds research into sudden infant deaths, provides advice for safe baby care and supports families.
Sudden infant death syndrome is the most common cause of death in babies over one month old and is responsible for around 300 fatalities a year in the UK, according to the NHS.
