Three Doncaster men are planning to complete a 4,000-mile marathon challenge to raise money for a children's charity.
Chris Banks, Fred Tomlinson and Duncan Wood, all from Hatfield, plan to start their epic effort with the Sleaford Half-Marathon, reports the Sheffield Star.
Any money they raise will be donated to the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, which provides support to families which have children will terminal or life-threatening conditions and relies entirely on donations.
Mr Banks told the paper: "The charity tries to make dreams come true for ill children."
After their first race, the three plan to clock up 3,920 miles between them by completing the London Marathon, the Great North Run, the Sheffield Half-Marathon and then take a bike ride - from John O'Groats to Land's End.
In total, the group hope that between them they will raise around £10,000.
The charity runs two respite houses in Surrey and Northumberland and can provide family support workers to help families in their own homes.
