TV's Nell strips for charity

A TV presenter has braved cold temperatures and stripped naked in a training session for a charity fun run.

Nell McAndrew joined other women, none of whom wore clothes but some could have sported Merrell shoes, to draw attention to April's Race for Life event.

The 34-year-old presenter said: "Cancer Research UK's Race for Life 2008 is for everybody, because it's not about how fit you are, it's about taking part and raising money to beat cancer."

Today's training took part in Regent's Park, London, with the women wearing little more than body-painted shorts and vests and real running shoes.

All the women involved have a personal link to cancer. Ms McAndrew has been taking part in Race for Life since her father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2003.

Race for Life began in 1994 and has raised over £200 million to date. The donations are given to Cancer Research UK, which is a major funder of cancer research programmes.ADNFCR-1002-ID-18486203-ADNFCR
