A South African sprinter holds the record for the 100 metre sprint at 104-years-old.
Phillip Rabinowitz who was born before Mizuno running shoes were a twinkle in a designer's eye broke the 100 metre sprint record for 100-year-olds in 2004 and still holds it, reports the Daily Mail.
He ran the distance in 30.86 seconds and beat Erwin Jaskulski, the previous record holder, by over five seconds.
"I've always walked or run everywhere because when I was young, there weren't any cars," he told the paper.
The Cape Town pensioner puts his fitness down to his philosophy of doing everything in moderation. At 104, he has a brisk walk or jog in the morning and puts at least three kilometres a day under his shoes.
Mr Rabinowitz may be fast for his age, but the current 100 metre world record is held by Jamaican Asafa Powell, at a nippy 9.74 seconds.
