Eastender and Arsenal stars join Sports Relief

Two more celebrities are slipping on their trainers to help raise money for good causes through Sports Relief.

Eastenders' star Kara Tointon and Arsenal captain William Gallas will be joining the thousands of runners taking part over March 14th-16th, who may be wearing Merrell or Hi-Tec trainers.

On March 16th, 23 Sports Relief Mile events across the country will take place to raise funds for the charity.

Speaking to the Sun, Kara reveals: "Believe me, you don't have to be sporty to get involved with Sport Relief."

If you're worried your new Merrells could get too muddy from running a marathon, the event suggests other activities such as a sports computer game night or a sport-themed dress down day.

Sports Relief, which takes place every two years, raises money to help vulnerable people in the UK and worldwide and distributes the proceeds through Comic Relief.

So far over 100 celebrities are signed up, including Ben Fogle, Davina McCall and Seb Coe.
