Top chefs are taking off their aprons and putting on their running shoes in preparation for the London Marathon after being challenged by a team of brewers from Fuller's.
The two teams are expecting to spend almost as much time wearing running shoes from the likes of Ecco and Hi-Tec as they are in their respective kitchens and breweries in the run up to the event in April.
Michelin-starred chefs Michel Roux Jnr a veteran of nine marathons - and Anton Edelmann will be leading the charge for the chefs who will be hoping to raise more money for their chosen charities than the Fullers team.
Speaking to caterersearch, Susan Gregory, category director at Flora maker Unilever Foodsolutions UK, said: "It's fantastic to see so many of our industry's finest coming together and competing in one of the worlds greatest marathons."
Other chefs competing include Jerome Ponchelle, from The Wiltons, Robert Clayton, from Merchant Inns, Jean Luc Hoez, from Coq D'Argent.
If you fancy joining these two teams in competing in a marathon then you will need appropriate footwear.
