Paula Radcliffe puts on her running shoes for the London Marathon

Running shoes from the likes of Mizuno, Hi-Tec and Keen will be among the brands being used by runners for the London Marathon - who will now be joined by world women’s marathon record holder, Paula Radcliffe.

Radcliffe, who is currently training in South Africa, has won the event three times before and is viewing the run as a dress rehearsal for the Beijing Olympics.
“I love running in front of my home crowd and I know that winning for a fourth time will give me just the boost I need before the Olympic Games in August,” she said.

“The London field is always competitive, but that’s what I need to be at my best in Beijing,” Radcliffe added.

The runner took time off last year to give birth to her first child, but then made a remarkable comeback by winning the New York Marathon in November last year.
