Little black dress to be worn by runners in fundraiser

Running shoes and footwear from brands such as Ecco, Mizuno and Hi-Tec will take a back seat for runners in a charity event where the most important item will be the little black dress.

The venture in Sydney, organised by Frontrunners, Australia’s largest lesbian and gay running and athletics club, will hold the Little Black Dress Fun Run on February 9th.

Drag queen Joyce Maynge is expected to perform, while the runners do their best for Camp Goodtime, a national camp for children and families living with HIV.

Speaking to SSOnet.com, Denver Duffer, events assistant, said: “Tiaras, diamante necklaces and bracelets, stilettos and red lipstick are all encouraged.”

“In fact anything insanely glamorous, put together without any purpose, will surely score points with the best dressed judges,” he added.
