Fun run to remember Alan Ball

Football fans who remember the glory days of Alan Ball at Everton’s and want to pay tribute to him will be delighted to hear news of a fun run to be organised in his name.

People looking to put on their Ecco or Hi-Tec running shoes and take part in the event have plenty of time to train before the Big Heart 5k event in June this year.

The run is also set to unite Liverpool’s football clubs as support has been offered from Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish and the Marina Dalglish Appeal.

Evertonians will be helping raise money and awareness for HEART UK and the Everton Charitable Trust.

Both sets of fans are expected to run in their teams’ colours with the blue versions carrying the number eight, a shirt Ball made famous while he was at the club.

Anyone looking to get involved will need to put on their running shoes before the event in order to get in shape.

Brands from Ecco, Merrell and Hi-Tec can be found here at Fitness Footwear.
