Ecco set to sponsor golfing tournament

Ecco has been selected as the sponsor for the 2008 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am which will see the brand kitting out many of the celebrities from the worlds of business, entertainment and sport taking part.

As part of the agreement, the company will supply players with both classic and contemporary styles for the golf course on top of showcasing its products at the pavilion.

Speaking to Worldgolf.com, Michael Waack, head of global golf for Ecco, said his company were pleased to be building a relationship with the event

“This unique event provides the unique opportunity for us to support several outstanding charities, participate in a high-profile PGA Tour stop and gain exposure via the world’s most watched celebrity golf tournament,” he said.

Celebrities such as Kevin Costner, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia will be joining the PGA stars in competing in the event.
