Soles4souls, a charity bringing footwear to people suffering from poverty or on the wake of natural disasters, has embarked on an ambitious footwear provision project in Central America.
Recent natural disaster victims in Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru are being targeted by the New York-based charity, which hopes to gather thousands of shoes for the cause.
Relying on the generosity of footwear companies who donate shoes for those in need, the Central American project seeks to build on the good work done in Russia and the Ukraine last winter.
This effort involved the donation of children's shoes and slippers for the cause, adding to the efforts of soles4souls which since its inception have allowed the group to donate more than two and a half million pairs of shoes.
Receiving donations from retailers, manufacturers and even individuals wishing to pass on both new and slightly worn footwear, the charity claims the amount of footwear it donates equates to around one pair of shoes every 28 seconds.
For a wide range of footwear provided by leading quality brands, Fitness Footwear is the place to shop, offering competitive prices for great shoes.
