Quality sportswear company Mizuno teamed up with the Rainforest Foundation this weekend to organise its seventh ten km fun run.
Taking place in Regent's Park, London, one lucky competition winner was this time promised more than £1,000 worth of running gear and footwear by the popular sports brand.
Working again with the Rainforest Foundation, Mizuno hoped to raise £85,000 from this year's fun run in order to boost the charity's work.
Key among projects undertaken by the foundation is the protection of the livelihood of people dwelling in rainforest areas, helping to defend their rights to life and land.
With rainforests disappearing at a reported rate of one acre per second, money raised by events such as the ten km fun run help to secure the lives of many of those whose homeland is under severe threat.
This year's lucky competition winner at the race was treated to stylish running products from Mizuno, including a pair of 'Mizuno Wave' technology running shoes.
