Jackson Williams still running strong
Boxer Jackson Williams is still on track to complete the incredible feat of running from Los Angeles to New York.
The Mizuno-sponsored sportsman set himself the gruelling challenge of running the whole way across America, entering the tenth week of his quest in the state of Indiana.
Scotland-Norfolk is the furthest that the boxer has run before, but he felt himself ready to take on the breadth of the North American continent.
On his way to Indiana he has already crossed through the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Illinois.
If the concept sounds familiar then perhaps Jackson Williams' challenge reminds you of Forrest Gump, where the movie's hero set out from Alabama with little more than a pair of running shoes, but ended up running the length of the country!
Hoping to complete a route of over 3000 miles in 111 days, Williams will need stronger willpower than Forrest, but even stronger footwear.
