A new space-age technology developed to protect UK soldiers from chemical attack is set to make its impact on the civilian shoe market.
The technological innovation is provided by leading nanoscale enhancer P2i and will come in the form of a new waterproof and ultra-breathable treatment.
Originally developed by the Ministy of Defence, the ion mask super hydrophobic surface enhancement technology is reported to repel water like no previous product has through its super-thin surface modification.
Gone then are the days of heavy waterproof layering, for the new procedure is applied after manufacture of the shoe and does not compromise the fit or weight of footwear.
