Best brands 'nurture' precious feet

Birkenstock and Merrell shoes have been hailed by a women's interest page discussing the do's and don'ts of toe-care.

Lamenting the less than glorious reputation of toes and the lack of care people take over them, Greater Lansing Woman's foot advice slipped in a wholly positive reference to quality footwear companies.

"There's not a lot of praise being offered for our southern-most appendages or their parts" said author Maureen Patzer, "unless of course you're a Birkenstock or Merrell shoe, which provide unwavering support".

Further foot-focused advice involved a rejection of typical female-fad pedicures, with the author apparently convinced that her choice of shoes was doing enough to keep her toes in shape.

"Did you ever notice nobody writes poems about toenails?" questioned the article, pitying the fact that such a precious few pay feet and toes the attention they deserve.
