Brasher Hillmaster GTX tops hiking boots chart

Brasher's Hillmaster GTX has been named the best walking shoe on the market by reviewers from the Independent.

In particular, the testers from the national newspaper singled out the shoe for the support and flexibility they offer.

Reviewer Caramel Quinn said: "Britain's best-selling walking boots for good reason. These classic leather boots are great all-rounders. They're waterproof and breathable thanks to a Gore-tex membrane. They're supportive with just enough flexibility."

Meanwhile, the company's Supalite XCR shoes made number eight in the list - making Brasher the only company to have two boots in the top ten - with Mr Quinn proclaiming them "ideal for low-level walking".

Fitness Footwear sells a range of Brasher boots suitable for participating in a range of outdoor sports including the Bosoli, Countrymaster, Bandai, Hillmaster and Ngolo models.
