British Mountaineering Council relaunches web presence

The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) has relaunched its web presence which now incorporates interactive features, a wealth of useful information and a crisp new look.

Visitors to the website will also be able to access back issues of Summit magazine and read interviews with renowned climbers such as Ken Wilson, Andy Kirkpatrick, Niall Grimes and Ed Douglas.

Meanwhile, relative newcomers to the pastime can benefit from the wealth of advice regarding best practice for training now available on the site, free downloads of guidebooks and a comprehensive list of sites to which climbers can gain access.

Dave Turnbull, BMC chief executive officer said: "It's been a long time coming but definitely worth the wait. This is just the first stage of the website upgrade so look out for more new facilities coming soon."
