Three inexperienced climbers have been rescued from Ben Nevis after calling for assistance by mobile phone.
Having become disorientated by rough weather conditions on Monday, Philip Preston, Joseph Corcoran and Steven Quinn were trapped on Tower Ridge, where they had been forced to pass the night.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue team mounted the rescue on Tuesday after a Royal Navy helicopter had spotted the party who were aged 18, 21 and 23.
After an ambulance was summoned to the scene, it was found that none of the party had sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident the rescue team were also involved in the rescue of a 13-year-old girl who injured her ankle while on the mountain.
