A pair of hikers, who gave up their jobs last November to walk the around the circumference of the UK, have now completed 3,000 miles of their journey.
Paul Barber and his partner Wendy Barford are the couple who remortgaged their home as well as walking out of their workplaces before setting out on the country's coast line.
They aim to raise £50,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind and Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The pair have now completed 3,000 miles of their marathon hike and lived out of their backpacks for the past eight months meeting David Blunkett and his guide dog, Sadie, along the way.
Speaking to the Daily Post they said "the highlight has been the people we've met" and how "everyone has been exceptionally kind and generous".
If you want to follow in the footsteps of these two charity walkers, then you will need suitable footwear.
Various types of walking shoes from brands such as Keen, Merrell and ECCO can be found here on the Fitness Footwear website.
