Superfeet helps out in marshland race

Quality footwear company Superfeet has been thanked by organisers for its support of one of the summer's wettest and whackiest sporting events - Michigan's Summer Quest at Stony Creek Lake.

Participating teams needed a strong pair of shoes to get them through the multiple stages of the race, with a 1.5 mile trail run and bushwhack around the lake kicking off the event.

The event was reported to be great for both veterans and beginners, although the inexperienced may have suffered in the closing disciplines of the race.

Participants ditched the swampy bogs of the first stage for fast bike ride over three miles, which was followed by a challenging orienteering task around local trails.

Superfeet was among a host of other outdoor companies sponsoring the event and helping it to run as smoothly as possible.
