Patagonia opens shop in historic building

Top footwear retailer Patagonia is to open a new store in Colorado as an extension to its network of popular shoe and apparel outlets.

Patagonia has shown in its commitment to quality supply materials that it is a company willing to protect local heritage, with its new store involving more of the same.

The site for the new outlet in Boulder, Colorado, is a historic building dating back to 1875, which has been owned for decades by clothing retail families – with Patagonia looking to carry on the tradition and keep the building intact.

All cotton items stocked by Patagonia's apparel range are from 100 per cent organic cotton, a policy followed by the company to avoid causing environmental damage from toxic chemicals which can blight conventional cotton growth.

Setting up in Boulder will bring the company its second Colorado retail site and 24th US-wide.
