To ensure that the leather used in their footwear causes the minimal environmental footprint in the tanneries, Patagonia works with the ISO 14001standard, which provides a first step in selecting Patagonia’s leather suppliers and the Leather Working Group (LWG) who are experts in the leather field, setting the industry bench marks, audits and monitoring the protocols of environmental business practices.
