V-Lite is a vertical 5 tier build system which combines lightweight materials and performance technologies in order to reduce weight while providing premium levels of support and comfort.

Tier 1 is the V-Lite Uppers which are made from lightweight leathers and synthetics as well as a very light and durable hardware.
Tier 2 is the Comfort-Tec Footbed, contoured for a comfortable fit and made from quality EVA foam to provide cushioning with shock absorption points at your heel and forefoot. For added comfort. Meanwhile breathable ventilation holes allow excess heat to escape from the shoe while a moisture wicking lining wicks away sweat for a cool, dry feeling.
Tier 3 is the Stabila Flex Plus multi density last board, made from recycled plastics. This provides a rigid and lightweight base to the shoe with a denser concentration of material at the rear and a thinner area at the front to provide comfortable easy of movement in the foot.
Tier 4 is the V-Lite Midsole made from compression moulded ehtel vinyl acetate (CMEVA) to provide lightweight shock absorption. This midsole not only weighs less than standard EVA, but is also lighter than conventional CMEVA and features flex points at the forefoot for greater support, naturally flexibility and fit.
Tier 5 is the MDT Outsole with a low profile and fashioned from lightweight carbon rubber with angles lugs for uphill and downhill grip. The low profile, lightweight manufacture and rubber materials used makes the sole flexible and durable for all types of outdoor activities.
To reduce the weight of their V-Lite shoes further, Hi-Tec has reduced the weight of the sole by 15% compared to similar footwear by using the minimum amount of rubber required in non critical areas.
